New Mexico Counties WITH NO provisions requiring adequate food/water/shelter: Chaves Eddy Hidalgo Lincoln Luna Otero Roosevelt Sandoval Torrance Union (A total of 10 counties). New Mexico Counties with no Animal Control ordinance at all (or the counties never responded or never supplied an ordinance after numerous requests): Catron DeBaca Guadalupe Harding Mora Quay Sierra (A total of 7 counties). 1NM statute requires at least an ordinance which addresses the impoundment of rabies-suspect animals and the seizure and disposition of animals running at large.
