New Mexico Animal Law
Animal Protection of New Mexico (APNM) publishes
a comprehensive book of New Mexico’s laws, regulations and
ordinances related to animals. Once you’ve identified the agency
responsible for the problem you’re encountering, you may want
to know the relevant laws and regulations governing the situation.
You may obtain information on ordering by emailing: apnm@apnm.org.
All of New Mexico’s laws and administrative codes can be accessed

This guide lists many common situations related to animals and those
government agencies responsible for assisting with those situations.
In addition, the relevant statute numbers have been included for
those wanting more specific information.
